White Wine Sangria

Ingredients.

1 lemon cut into wedges

1 Orange cut into wedges

1/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup brandy

1 & 1/2 bottles dry white wine (Dos Rios Chardonnay or Verdelho)

Method.

1/- Combine all ingredients in a large jar.

2/- Stir occasionally over 2-3 days until sugar has dissolved.

3/- Put a ladle full of the 'sangria' into a highball glass, fill with cold soda water, garnish with a slice of lemon.

A very refreshing drink on a hot day - ideal for pool parties and the like.

If you have an interestingly shaped jar with a lid or large cork (large enough to get the ladle in) this drink can make an interesting addition to the end of your bar in summer.
